Manchester Derby Special: A 33/1 Bet Builder for Man Utd v Man City

Few fixtures in English football carry the weight, noise, and scrutiny of the Manchester derby — and this weekend’s clash at Old Trafford comes with an added twist.

With Michael Carrick stepping into the Manchester United dugout as interim boss, the spotlight could hardly be brighter. Across the technical area, Pep Guardiola arrives knowing his Manchester City side cannot afford any more slip-ups if they are to keep pace with Arsenal in the title race.

Here’s our 33/1 Bet Builder for a derby that promises drama, intensity, and no shortage of shots.

Carrick Could Spark a Reaction at Old Trafford

Thrown straight into the deep end, Carrick’s first task as interim manager is to steady a United side searching for direction — but recent derby history suggests this might not be the worst place to start.

United have lost just one of their last five Manchester derbies, and despite a turbulent campaign overall, they’ve been beaten only twice in their last 10 matches, including just two defeats in 10 home league games.

City, meanwhile, arrive off the back of three consecutive Premier League draws, and with pressure mounting in the title race, more dropped points could follow at a hostile Old Trafford.

Backing United to avoid defeat looks a sensible starting point.

Option 1: Manchester United or draw @ 5/6

Šeško and Semenyo Carry the Goal Threat

There hasn’t been much for United supporters to cheer this season, but Šeško’s recent form has been a rare positive.

The Slovenian forward struck twice against Burnley before adding another goal versus Brighton last weekend, and he now looks increasingly confident leading the line. With United needing inspiration, he could be the man to provide it.

City’s new arrival Semenyo has also hit the ground running. After a man-of-the-match debut against Exeter, the 26-year-old followed up with another goal in midweek, taking his tally to six goals in his last eight appearances across spells with City and Bournemouth.

He’s already scored at Old Trafford this season — netting in Bournemouth’s 4-4 draw there in December — and looks well placed to make his mark again.

Option 2: Benjamin Šeško to score anytime @ 11/5 Option 3: Antoine Semenyo to score anytime @ 7/4

Cunha and Reijnders Set to Pepper the Goal

Goals may come from multiple angles in this derby — and shots markets look particularly appealing.

Cunha has been United’s most active attacker this season, registering 67 shots in all competitions, averaging 3.9 shots per 90 minutes. He’s fired three or more shots in eight of his last nine appearances, including three against Brighton last weekend.

For City, only Erling Haaland and Phil Foden have taken more shots than Reijnders since his summer arrival.

The Dutch midfielder already boasts 19 shots on target this season and has tested the goalkeeper in six of his last eight starts, including once in the reverse fixture earlier this campaign.

Option 4: Matheus Cunha 3+ shots @ 19/20 Option 5: Tijjani Reijnders 1+ shot on target @ 4/7
