Jeddah will host the Saudi Cup final between Al Hilal and Al Nassr

The Saudi Football Cup final will take place between Al-Hilal, the league champion, and their runner-up Al-Nassr on Friday at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, as revealed by the Saudi Press Agency.

Al-Hilal, the defending champion, look to confirm their dominance this season, as they conclude their participation in the league on Monday on Al-Wahda’s ground, being 14 points ahead of their fierce rival Al-Nassr.

Coach Jorge Jesus’s team haven’t lost a single match throughout the domestic league season and hope to extend this success to the cup competition, although they were eliminated from the AFC Champions League in the semifinals by UAE’s Al-Ain, who later won the title. Al-Hilal has won the cup ten times, three less than Al-Ahli, who holds the record, while Al-Nassr claimed their sixth title in 1990.

On the other hand, Al-Nassr hopes to appease their fans and win the King’s Cup to save the season with at least one title. Their veteran star Cristiano Ronaldo seeks to win his first domestic title with the yellow team since joining in a blockbuster deal in January 2023. He led the team to win the Arab Club Champions Cup in August 2023 in Taif, defeating Al-Hilal themselves 2-1 after extra time.
