Which club will bring De Bruyne to the Saudi League?

Manchester City midfielder and Belgian star Kevin De Bruyne has not ruled out a move to the Saudi Professional League as he enters the final year of his contract with the English champions.

In a surprising revelation during a television interview, De Bruyne stated: “At my age, I have to remain open to anything. You are talking about amazing numbers for what might be the end of my career. Sometimes you have to think about that.”

He added: “If I play in Saudi Arabia for two years, I will be able to earn an incredible amount of money. Before that, I had to play for 15 years, and I probably have not reached this amount yet.”

Regarding his family’s opinion on the possibility of leaving England after settling there, the talented playmaker said: “For Michelle (his wife), there is no objection to having an exciting experience. We are also having more and more conversations as a family.”

He continued: “I have a year left on my contract, so I have to think about what might happen. My eldest son is eight years old and only knows England.”

He concluded: “When the time comes, we will have to deal with the matter in some way.”

The well-known journalist Ben Jacobs revealed a surprise regarding the Belgian star’s potential transfer to the Saudi Professional League next season, highlighting the defending champion Al Hilal club’s desire to strengthen their squad with several new signings for the upcoming season.

Jacobs posted on his account on the “X” website: “Al-Hilal Club has priority among Saudi clubs to sign Kevin De Bruyne this summer due to his participation in the Club World Cup in 2025.”

De Bruyne is expected to play his 100th match with the Belgium national team when they host Montenegro in a friendly match tonight, in preparation for the European Cup finals hosted by Germany starting on June 14.

It is noteworthy that the 32-year-old Manchester City captain has won the English Premier League title six times, the Champions League title once, the English FA Cup title twice, and five titles in the English Professional League Cup since joining Manchester City from Wolfsburg in 2015.
