Real Madrid’s Dominance Looms Over the New Spanish League Season

As the new Spanish League season kicks off this week, Real Madrid emerges as the top contender to retain their La Liga crown. Meanwhile, Girona, the surprise package of last season, faces the challenge of replacing key players like Brazilian winger Savinho, who joined Manchester City, and Ukrainian striker Artem Dovpik, the league’s top scorer last season, who moved to Roma. Girona will also look to navigate the demanding pace of their inaugural Champions League campaign.

Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad, both of which have retained key players Nico Williams and Takefusa Kubo respectively, hope to shake up the established order. However, the title race is expected to remain a contest primarily between the league’s giants.
