Rashford Registers First La Liga Contribution as Barcelona Crush Valencia 6–0

Barcelona delivered a ruthless attacking display as they demolished Valencia 6–0 at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, with Marcus Rashford marking his first La Liga goal involvement since joining the Catalan giants on loan from Manchester United.

Fermín López, Raphinha, and Robert Lewandowski each struck twice to underline Barça’s dominance. López opened the scoring by latching onto Ferran Torres’ through ball before unleashing a thunderous long-range effort to double his tally.

The spotlight, however, briefly fell on Rashford. The England international, starting for only the second time in La Liga, produced a sublime left-wing cross early in the second half that Raphinha converted to make it 2–0. It was Rashford’s first direct contribution since his high-profile move from Old Trafford, and his lively 67-minute performance also included two off-target efforts and a creative spark that unsettled Valencia’s back line.

Raphinha, introduced at half-time, added a second with a fierce finish, while Lewandowski came off the bench to complete the rout. The Polish striker calmly slotted home from Dani Olmo’s assist before seeing a delicate chip awarded via VAR after initially being flagged offside.

Barça’s margin could have been even greater. Torres rattled the post after another Rashford delivery, as the Spanish champions overwhelmed their opponents in front of 6,000 fans at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, their temporary home while Camp Nou undergoes redevelopment.

With the emphatic win, Barcelona showcased their attacking depth and signaled their intent to maintain momentum in their La Liga title defense.
