Ronaldo Affirms Commitment to Al-Nassr as Contract Talks Progress

At 40 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to defy age, demonstrating his enduring class both for country and club. Fresh from scoring his record-extending 138th goal for Portugal in Sunday’s dramatic UEFA Nations League final against Spain, he quashed speculation over his future by declaring, “Future? Nothing will change. Al Nassr? Yes.”

Since arriving at Al-Nassr in January 2023, Ronaldo has maintained an astonishing strike rate, packing 99 goals in 111 appearances—equating to a goal every 98 minutes on average—and contributing 19 assists across all competitions. During the 2024–25 campaign alone, he found the net 22 times in 26 outings, underlining a goals-per-game ratio of 0.85. His prolific output has powered Al-Nassr to two Saudi Super Cup triumphs and a second-place finish in the Saudi Pro League last season.

Contracted through 30 June 2025, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner had briefly hinted at departure with a cryptic social media post. However, his on-field comments leave little doubt that he will see out his deal and continue to spearhead Al-Nassr’s bid for domestic and continental honours in the years ahead.
