World Cup Quarter-Final Tips: 18/1 Bet Builder for Norway vs England

England’s World Cup journey continues on Saturday evening with arguably their toughest assignment yet as they face Norway for a place in the semi-finals.

The Three Lions survived a dramatic encounter with Mexico in the Round of 16, while Norway produced one of the biggest shocks of the tournament by eliminating Brazil. With two attack-minded teams featuring some of Europe’s biggest stars, another entertaining contest could be on the cards in Miami.

After analysing the key statistics and recent performances, we've selected a three-leg Bet Builder that combines at 18/1.

Norway vs England Bet Builder Selections

  • Both Teams To Score @ 8/13
  • Anthony Gordon Anytime Goalscorer @ 9/4
  • Julian Ryerson 1+ Assist @ 5/1

Combined Odds: 18/1

Both Teams Can Leave Their Mark

England’s dramatic victory over Mexico demonstrated both their attacking quality and their defensive vulnerability.

Thomas Tuchel’s side emerged with a thrilling 3-2 victory despite playing much of the second half with ten men following Jarell Quansah’s dismissal. While the result highlighted England’s resilience, it also exposed weaknesses that Norway will be eager to exploit.

Mexico consistently threatened from wide areas, registering 20 shots, numerous dangerous crosses and a succession of set-piece opportunities. England’s full-backs found themselves under sustained pressure, while the central defensive partnership struggled at times to deal with aerial deliveries.

Norway possess arguably the ideal striker to capitalise on those issues. Erling Haaland has already scored seven goals at this World Cup and remains one of the tournament's most clinical finishers.

At the opposite end, Norway have hardly looked impenetrable themselves. Despite eliminating Brazil, they have conceded nine goals during the tournament and allowed quality chances throughout their knockout victory.

With both sides carrying genuine firepower and neither defence looking entirely convincing, goals at both ends appeal strongly.

Option 1: Both Teams To Score @ 8/13

Gordon Ready to Deliver on the Big Stage

Anthony Gordon continues to grow in influence within England's attack and looks well placed to make his first major scoring contribution of the tournament.

The Barcelona winger was one of England's brightest performers against Mexico, constantly stretching the opposition defense and winning the penalty that Harry Kane converted.

Although Gordon is still waiting for his first World Cup goal, his overall performances suggest that breakthrough may not be far away.

His excellent club campaign also underlines his finishing ability. After scoring 10 Champions League goals during the 2025/26 season for Newcastle United, he has already shown he can perform against elite opposition.

If England are to break down Norway's defencs, Gordon is likely to play a central role.

Option 2: Anthony Gordon Anytime Goalscorer @ 9/4

Ryerson Can Punish England Out Wide

England's defensive concerns on the flanks could provide Julian Ryerson with an excellent opportunity to influence proceedings.

Questions remain over the fitness of Reece James, while England's alternative options at full-back have looked vulnerable throughout the competition. Norway are expected to target those areas whenever possible.

Ryerson has built a reputation as one of Europe's most adventurous attacking full-backs, regularly providing quality service from wide positions.

The Borussia Dortmund defender produced 17 assists during the 2025/26 campaign and, with Erling Haaland waiting inside the penalty area, he has the perfect target for his deliveries.

Given England's recent struggles defending crosses, another Ryerson assist is well within reach.

Option 3: Julian Ryerson 1+ Assist @ 5/1
