Al-Nassr Defeats Toulouse in Friendly with Félix and Ronaldo Together

Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia came from behind to defeat French side Toulouse 2–1 in a friendly match held as part of both teams’ preparations for the new season. The game featured the debut of Portuguese forward João Félix alongside his compatriot and star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Toulouse opened the scoring through Ivorian Yann Gboho in the 25th minute, but Ronaldo quickly responded with an equalizer for Al-Nassr in the 33rd minute, ending the first half with a 1–1 draw.

Al-Nassr sealed the win in the second half thanks to Mohammed Maran, who netted the second goal in the 76th minute, securing the Saudi club’s second friendly victory during their ongoing European training camp, ahead of their upcoming trip to Asia in the coming weeks.

Ronaldo looked sharp and ready to lead Al-Nassr in what promises to be an exceptional comeback season, as the club aims to reclaim the Roshn Saudi League title. He scored a stunning rocket goal during the friendly match in Austria, capitalizing on a pinpoint pass from Brazilian teammate Talisca, and celebrated in his trademark style.

João Félix started the match and nearly found the net, but a moment of miscommunication between him and Ronaldo denied them what was nearly a certain goal.

Ronaldo left the pitch at the start of the second half after an intense attacking display in the first. He will conserve his energy for the next stages of the European camp, with Al-Nassr set to arrive in Spain on August 10 to face Almería, before playing a highly anticipated Saudi Super Cup clash against league champions Al-Ittihad in Hong Kong next month.

After the match, Ronaldo shared video highlights from his performance on his “X” account, captioning them: “The hunger never fades. Still work to do, and we’re just getting started,” reflecting his strong ambitions to win multiple titles this season with the club that made him the highest-paid player in the world. For the 2024–2025 season, his earnings have reached €285 million, pushing his total net worth to $1.5 billion and placing him among an exclusive group of just 12 athlete billionaires in history — a list topped by American basketball legend Michael Jordan with $4.15 billion.
