West Ham continued their strong form with a vital 2-0 victory over struggling Leicester City. Tomas Soucek opened the scoring in the first half, followed by a second goal via a deflection off Jannik Vestergaard.
It marked Leicester’s 11th defeat in their last 12 matches, leaving them firmly in the bottom three, while West Ham moved 16 points clear of the relegation zone. Leicester manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy has collected just seven points in 14 games in charge.
Van Nistelrooy expressed disappointment but vowed to keep fighting. Hammers boss Graham Potter praised his team’s consistency after securing consecutive league wins for the first time since February/March 2024. Goal scorer Soucek called the victory a boost for maintaining momentum.
