Is this the beginning of the end for Manchester City?

There has been a lot of hearsay in recent days about the potential end of Manchester City’s supremacy in English football, particularly following their recent stumble – dropping points and conceding three goals in a 3-3 draw against Tottenham Hotspur.
It’s undeniable that Pep Guardiola’s squad, once an unstoppable force, no longer dominates the league. While they lead the Premier League in terms of scoring with 36 goals, their defensive solidity has declined, conceding 16 goals in 14 matches. What was once a cornerstone of their success has become a weakness in their squad.
Despite this, Guardiola expects his team to clinch their fourth consecutive English Premier League title, which will be a record feat despite his team’s failure to secure victories in their last three games.
City settled for draws in their last three matches against Chelsea, Liverpool, and Tottenham – relegating them to third place, three points away from Arsenal, before facing another difficult away match on Wednesday against Aston Villa. Keep in mind that Aston Villa are currently in fourth place and have been unbeaten in their last 13 home matches.
The defensive frailty was clearly evident as City conceded eight goals in their last three matches, prompting Guardiola to admit the need for defensive improvement, and to add that his team didn’t lose many matches.
However, he remains confident, asserting that while his team might have drawn three games, they are on the path to making history in the English Premier League. In a press conference, Guardiola stated, “The motivation is to do it better. I learned from where I come from that if you want to win, you must do it better than the opponent. We have to do much better. We have to try not to concede any chances or goals.”
He continued to express confidence in City’s eventual success, saying, “If you ask me my opinion, my feeling today is that we will win the English Premier League. If we play at Liverpool or Tottenham’s level, we will win it again. People do not believe it after three draws, but we will do it again, knowing that it is not easy because no team has achieved that yet – four consecutive titles.”
Guardiola, dealing with the absence of the suspended Rodri, just like Jack (Grealish) and the return of the recovering John Stones, hinted at deploying Stones in midfield to fill the void left by Rodri, emphasizing the need to find the best solution for the upcoming clash against Aston Villa.
